“Stress Related Bite Disorders” Donald N. Reid, DDS, FICOI 7 CE units

February 9 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

$15 - $235
REGISTRATION FORM Feb9 REID STRESS RELATED BITE DISORDERS Walk down any street and ask folks if they have an uncomfortable bite, headaches, face pain, ear pain and sore teeth or feel they grind their teeth and more than likely, you’ll hear, “Oh yes, I’ve been told I have TMJ!” If they don’t have those symptoms, chances are they know people who do. Conservative estimates are upward of 40 million people in the U.S. alone fit that category. Stress-related bite disorders are utterly mysterious and confusing to the majority of dentists, yet we skillfully repair patients’ teeth but miss a life-changing opportunity to help them in ways beyond imagination. Additionally, dentists miss an opportunity to convert ordinary dental patients to “raving fans.” Dr. Reid will utilize animations he’s created and case examples to help participants see for themselves why literally millions of people continue to needlessly suffer from stress-related jaw problems. Learning outcomes: • Learn the main elements for a healthy, stable and comfortable bite. • Understand the causes and effects of improper bites. • Learn how lifestyle stressors influence the magnitude of patients’ problems. • Learn what you really need to know about TMJ to safely treat 98 percent of your patients. • Learn the step-by-step formula for predictable, successful splint treatments. • Understand how to turn a patient visit with a broken crown into comprehensive restorative outcome. • Hear various treatment options to solve patients’ problems and the communication skills you need to know. • Learn how to interview patients before you look in their mouths to ensure they’ll accept you and what you offer them. • Learn a simplistic approach to the most comprehensive exam your patients ever had.
